My View On Pro Wrestling
I have people telling me wrestling’s not a sport all the time. They can’t tell me that it’s not, and I can’t tell them that it is. It’s a stalemate. To me it’s like religion. The people who believe in God can’t be convinced otherwise, and for the atheists there is no explanation to get them to believe. I love pro wrestling. I’m a fan of it and I’m going to champion its history until the day I die. I just wish there were more people who honestly respected it as much as I do.

Repeated Advise
Recently at college we were given a speech from this dude from the journalism business about how to make contacts and break into the business, the main point he made was email as many people as possible to just speak to you and see where it leads, pretty much anyone you can think of and as I looked around the room I saw a lot of different faces, I saw the dumb ass people in my class either not paying attention and being more interested in Twitter and sadly for them they are the people who are gonna look back on life and think 'what the fuck was wrong with me'. You had my friends who were wither hanging on every word trying to make the most out of everything he said (which I commend) or or felt they had already got their shit sorted out and then the other were pretty much in limbo so to speak as they were only taking in the things they felt were important (which in my eyes is fair enough). But me, I thought the exploitation of his work life was very interesting, talking about working on newspapers, working at the BBC and starting his own documentary production company, but Then he started talking about how you should email many people as possible and I couldn't help but think I herd this all before by countless different people and it has now become an annoying but true thing to hear from people as they are right but after hearing a hundred times its become intolerable but I can't blame him for saying it I just wish he said it in a more imaginative way, seriously i would not be against hearing the same boring ass speech again but this time try putting in some Barney Stinson like magic from time to time, that's all I'm saying.
P.S I was gonna make this blog about the Chris Brown vs CM Punk twitter war, but I decided everyone had already herd my views on Chris Brown in forms of many different media outlets and all I can say is Brown is the scum of the earth, piece of shit who should have his dick and hands cut of as punishment and while your at it his voice box would not hurt either and CM Punk is not only the Voice of the Voiceless and the Best In The World but in my eyes at least....God himself. But what do I know I'm just a fan boy.

Personal Statements
Recently my college has held a few lectures on how to get into university, all the applications, interviews and so on, and one of the main things that have been discussed is personal statements, in which you must write about why you want to do the course you are applying for and why you should be accepted into the university that runs the course, within 4000 characters, which sounds like a lot but in reality it is around 47 lines of writing.
Now I don't have a problem with that, I feel that can be done very easily, my only problem is the specifics of the task, I feel I am gonna end up writing a big piece on (without sounding big headed) why I want to go into the field that I want to go into and also why I want to go to uni. I have listened to the people who were brought in to help us with this task and they said about editing down, but what part am I meant to edit down!, they say what I should do to bring the numbers down, but they don't tell me how to do it, now I know that there was thirty people in the room but it would be nice if they could help me out, I know selfish.
I know in the end that I will get through this and everything will be fine, I'm just a procrastinator, I always leave things till the end, the last possible moment, for example I was meant to have gone to quite a few university open days, according to my college, but I have not been to one and that worries me as I kinda want to go to uni, to make more money, and have secure, happy life (maybe), but hey I still got eleven months till uni but only four till I have to make decisions. Should I be worried...........I'll answer later.

Movie Lines
Once again, in a state of a migraine, I have decide once again to watch the Social Network to take my mind of the excruciating pain, and again it got me thinking, this time about lines in the visual media, mainly the obvious. television and film, and how they become part of pop culture and are repeated again and again by many different members of the population of this big blue world.
This is also the case with my friends and I, the small amount that exists, as we quote many different shows that we love to watch, mainly Scrubs (an American hospital based, single camera sitcom starring Zach Braff) and How I Met Your Mother (an another American sitcom based on a so called 'Love Story in Reversed' where the main character played by Josh Radnor explains to his children how he met their mother and stories about his friends), as they are easy to quote and two of, in my opinion, the best shows in the world.
To be totally honest with you I don't why I am typing this on a blog that I kind of want to be.....well read, but its strange how lines in the visual media, more frequently films, stick within culture and can transcend generations and sometimes even lifestyles and become a part of history. Only thing that I don't understand is that if these lines are up there with older lines, such as some old wives tales, how did the 'classic' lines come to stand considering that visual media is only about a hundred years old......that's just something to think about.

Too Much Effort and John Cena
Today as ideas were going through my mind for a topic on which to write about and/or post on my YouTube account http://www.youtube.com/user/oliew11?feature=mhsn , I finally thought of one and a good one at that. So I decided to post a newer version of my usual video layout, not only did it take me ages to finish and look half decent, but it also took ages to find all the media aspects and upload the dam thing. Then finally after all the BS that surrounded this video and the now over hyped idea (more of a theory), the video kept on stopping and it did not upload the whole video. So in the end I wasted almost 4 hours of my Sunday afternoon on a project that came to nothing.
But I am not willing to give up just yet, I have now decided to post my idea (more of a theory) on this very blog. Which, with all suspense, leads me to my idea (more of a theory), it is based around the franchise player of World Wrestling Entertainment, John Cena, and how he has been booked over the last six years after winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 21 and the harsh reputation that he has been placed with throughout the IWC (Internet Wrestling Community).
During this time Cena has been placed in some high profile matches and some not so high profile matches, but he always seems to come out on top, against whoever he is facing,whether it be one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, the Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels or an over seven foot giant who can barley walk properly, let alone wrestle in the Great Khali (dont know how he still has a job) . John is always booked in an either strong position or a over coming the odds role and I find that most of John's most successful matches and feuds come from him being in the latter role.
To prove my point, four of his most successful opponents over the last six years, in my opinion, has been the previously wrote about Shawn Michaels, the Rated R Superstar Edge and the former Legend Killer now Viper Randy Orton and the Voice of the Voiceless, and my personal favorite, CM Punk and in all of those feuds the Doctor of Thuganomics has been on the defensive side of the feud, whether it be going through a brutal Elimination Chamber match and then having the Ultimate Opportunist Edge cash in a contact where he can have a match for the world title, at any time and any place, called the Money in the Bank, leading to Cena to lose and get screwed on not only this occasion but on many more over the next two years. Or in a more recent example where, over the last three months CM Punk has targeted Cena in such a way that he has been known as the status quo within the title picture, and this angle has not only elevated Punk to top dog level but has also shown character development in Cena himself.
So in conclusion I feel one of the reasons that John Cena has got a bad reputation over the last six years because WWE Creative has booked Cena well only around Summerslam and WrestleMania time period, in which are the most profitable time periods of the year but in my opinion they need to ALWAYS book him as over coming the odds and maybe come out on top and sometimes not, depending what is better for the story, characters and business. As most of Cena's great feuds has been booked this way for example, the two I have mentioned, Batista leading up to WrestleMania 26, Shawn Michaels leading to WrestleMania 23 (that also has to do with the actual match been one of my favorite matches of all time), All of his feuds with Randy Orton and even some lesser known feuds where his was up against opponents that do not have to quality to be main event but Cena made them look like stars.Two examples of this is the seven foot tall, previously mentioned Great Khali and a man with a character that had no longevity but was still not only over, but a great wrestler in the Samoan Bulldozer Umaga, a man sadly who is no longer with us.

Passion (Sad But True)
I know at this very time watching my favorite film of the past year, being The Social Network. And that got me thinking, as I always do during this film......Brenda Song is HOT!!!! and I would love to be Mark Zuckerberg (or at least the Jesse Issenberg incarnation) as he created something from scratch and made it an industry, and was so cool about it.
So what am I passionate about, willing to stick with and not only maybe help me with a future career, but that's another story for another time, and what is the answer to that question.....well for me its Pro Wrestling.
As sad as that might sound to some people, that a white (not that its important), English, 17 year old male is a fan of pro wrestling, more specifically WWE, 10 years after it was deemed relevant, let alone cool.
But in my opinion things has changed for the better, not that it changes my love for the product advertised as 'Sports Entertainment', as CM Punk, the self appointed 'Voice of the Voiceless' has said that he is going to be the catalyst of change within the WWE. And he is going to make it cool again.
Which finally brings me to my point, WWE is was a generally considered not cool, even by some who claimed to be 'fans', and putting on bad matches, bad shows, bad stories, bad wrestlers and a overall bad product. Many have tried to 'rebook' WWE programming and threw reading many different opinions within the IWC (Internet Wrestling Community) have come up with and now I'm going to through my metaphorical hat in and come up with my own rebooking feature that will be available not only on this blog but on my Youtube account as well http://www.youtube.com/user/oliew11?feature=mhee and the best way to keep up to date is to SUBSCRIBE!!!!!!!!
I will also not only be catering to the wrestling audience but I will try my best to cater to the rest of the world too and when I come up with the ideas, you will be the first to know.

I'M BACKKKK!!!!
Yes I have returned, much like my access weight i have returned after months false hope that it was gone for good........and things have changed.
I will still be posting on my life from time to time, I will also now be posting on something that has caught my attention throughout the day. Life of the Arsenal
I don't know if any of you herd recently, that my least favourite team ever, Arsenal, and my second favourite team ever, Leyton Orient, had a FA cup match and for me it was the best result I could have hoped for, 1-1. I also know that my blog has a few viewers from outside of the greatest country in the world, and I don't America you stupid Yanks, everyone hates you boys just like they all hate us, England, the FA cup is a cup competition for football and is the third greatest competition in the world, behind the World Cup and the Champions League, in my opinion.
Now back to my point, the one team in the world I hate is Arsenal, as well they are dirty, idiotic, glorified bastards, that's just from a Tottenham supporters viewpoint, and these so called giants of English football drew with a relatively unknown football club that is so dear and close to my heart in League One, Leyton Orient Football Club and it was a well thought game plan from their manager Russell Slade, through tactics and substitutions. All in all I just wanted to take this time to congratulate The O's as they are known and wish them all the best for the future.
But lets look at this, Arsenal are somewhat considered a great team and recently defeated one of the best teams, if not the best, Barcelona, in the Champions League and then for them to come to a small East London Club and are not able to beat them .................... that makes me the happiest person in the world.

Life Guides
I am one of those people who to make them self feel better, defines their life on over a certain number of sentences, such as; life is short or everything happens for a reason. I only have two of the life sentences and they are; every action has a reaction and one I thought of myself (not to gloat) your mortality defines your life.
The reason I decided that 'your mortality defines your life' was a good sentence to base my life upon was that it gives a reason to do things to either make my life better or give me a push to achieving goals in life. I could have gone for a more obvious, 'you only have one life, make the most of it' or 'life is short' which is used by many people all around the world to do the same thing as my life sentence, and I do think these are very worthy at achieve that, but I thought not only were these cliché, but I also felt that rather then the thought that your life goes quickly and you that haven't got much time, my life sentence is more about the thought of death makes you want to not waste your life and enjoy it in whatever you do.
I also liked the sentence 'every action has a reaction' which I first heard on a episode of the hit American sitcom Scrubs, and made me think and believe that everything you do in the world, be it something big as miss-using someone trust or just sitting down can effect life and lead to different situations that might not had happened if you had not have done that certain thing, to sum it up in the Scrubs episode 'My Butterfly' they say 'Even the most minor event, even a butterfly flapping its wings, can effect everything', and that is how I feel.
In the end these words are my religion and I know some religious people may for one reason or another find this offensive to compare the Almighty to a couple of sentences, but these are the words I live my life by and as I am not a religious person, neither am I an Atheist, I am a innocent bystander (more about that another time), I feel these are good guides to leading a fulfilling life.

Americanisation
Do you know the one thing that annoys me (on TV) more then anything else is the Americanisation of our TV shows. No offence to the many Americans (2) in my audience but we, the English, take all your great shows ,many sitcoms, such as; Friends, Scrubs, Two and a Half Men, King of Queens, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory and Frasier and don't do anything to them.
Not that they are not some of the greatest shows ever made, but we have to withstand through some horrible American references that we just don't understand, yet when we give you some great shows that have had great success such as Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmare and his other show Hells Kitchen, Deal or No Deal and Big Brother and what do you do with it ...... you you give it explosions, loud over excited narrators and a preview that takes up half the show. The worst example of this is The Office. Not that I do not like the American version but what was wrong with the English version, so I did a bit of research and apparently their was too many British references and the Yanks would not understand, so Ricky Gervais being the genius that he is makes a American version. In the end The Office has too many British references yet we get your american references in your shows every ten minutes.
As I said before I have nothing against the America shows but we take their shows no matter what, why do we always have to re-invent all of our top draw shows just for IN THEIR OWN WORDS 'the greatest country in the word'. I don't think so.

Snow
All my life I have wanted to live in New York, for all the food and views and probably the main reason. The weather. The way that it is really hot in the summer and snowy in the winter, its predictable and if it was not for my career choice I would move there straight after university.
I love the snow, it is one of my favourite weather conditions, as not only is it the most beautiful but also it brings out the worst and best in people, including myself. By that I mean now that I am enjoying my education I wish it not to snow during term time, especially as it can take me up to an extra hour and a half to my already long journey to collage. This is all caused by people that as soon as the Met Office announce that there are severe weather warnings, some people decide to panic and panic buy, panic plan and most annoyingly for me, panic journey which is either people causing un-needed traffic or in some cases, no word of a lie, try to run away from weather that could only harm them if they were to be on top of a tall, and I mean tall, cliff right next to a rioting sea, but sadly as I live just outside London in the suburbs nothing to fatal will happen.
In the end I prefer my snow, such as it is on the day of me writing this, falling during my time away from collage, as it does effect my plans to go certain places, I do now have an excuse to not only do the third best thing I do, be lazy, but it also gives me pleasure to not only look at other peoples discomfort about the snow not only up close but over social networking sites such as Facebook.
